We finally got to try Smash Waffles this weekend. We tried the Campfire. It tastes like one of your childhood smores only kicked up a notch. They use marshmallows, marshmallow cream sauce, nutella and graham crackers. It was AMAZING. You can find this delicious waffle at Pizza la Stella in downtown Raleigh.
According to their website their website what makes them different is that their waffles are unique. Their dough is made from scratch and they use local ingredients. They also use an infusion method where they fill the dough instead of covering it with toppings. They roll the waffles into dough balls along with their fillings and then smash them into their cast iron waffle press.
