Today we did a tour at Disney’s Boardwalk and took a little time to explore the Epcot Resort Area that includes – Disney’s Yacht Club Resort, the Beach Club Resort, the BoardWalk Inn, the Caribbean Beach Resort, the Dolphin and the Swan. The tour was about an hour of looking at various antique pieces, illustrations and inspiration pieces for the resort. Modeled after boardwalk communities in New Jersey and New York from the 1920s-1930s the resort aims to capture a specific time period with the look and feel. The details are as large as the grand chandelier and as small as the radio and game pieces in the lounge. The tour is great and more importantly free – more info here. It is worth the time and the guide (Peter) had a lot of great tips on other resort areas that are not be missed. I think the resort areas are some of the best-kept secrets in Disney World – hopefully, we’ll find a few more gems to share this week.
