If you go to visit Escondido you must visit Queen Califa’s Magical Circle in Kit Carson Park. It is open on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. It is free to visit.
The garden has pretty mosaic ornamentation. It is inspired by California’s mythic and historic and cultural roots. The exhibit has nine large sculptures. There is a maze entryway and bench seating. The exhibit was designed by Niki de Saint Phalle, a French artist.
