    Lexington-Style Red Slaw


    • 1 Medium Head Cabbage, (Cored and Finely Chopped)
    • 2/3 cups Ketchup
    • 1/2 cup Apple Cider Vinegar
    • 1/2 cup Sugar
    • 1 teaspoon Salt
    • 1 teaspoon Ground Black Pepper
    • 2 teaspoons Hot Sauce (Texas Pete Preferred)


    Step 1
    Whisk together ketchup, vinegar, sugar, salt, pepper and hot sauce.
    Step 2
    Pour dressing over finely chopped cabbage and toss until well mixed.
    Step 3
    Let sit, tossing occasionally, for 20 minutes.
    Step 4
    Store in an airtight container in refrigerator until ready to serve. For best results make a day ahead.
