Princess’ Bladder Stone Update

Princess' X-Ray

If you follow me on Twitter you may have seen this image to the right. That is an x-ray of Princess taken Monday night that shows he bladder stones – if you ware looking for them the are near the center of the image below her spine and in front of her knees and appear more opaque than anything other than the bones.

Almost all breeds of dog are susceptible to forming bladder stones. These stones are produced if some excess minerals and other waste products solidify or crystallize in the dog’s bladder area. Symptoms may vary from one dog to another. But one fact remains your dog would definitely suffer a good amount of pain because of it.

Very glad we got it figured out – she showed very few symptoms. She is recovering and we are optimistic that she will be back to her old self soon. The pictures below are of the actual stones that were removed. Some were sent off to a lab for testing and we got the rest. Not sure what we are going to do with them but we paid enough for them – we have to think of something.
