Farm Animal Days is held at NC State’s Lake Wheeler Road Field Lab. It is hosted by the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.
Farm Animal Days give children a chance to see and touch farm animals and learn about agriculture. The event is designed for school field trips (pre-school through first grade). Families and individuals are invited to attend as well.
I took Tanner and he thoroughly enjoyed the trip. He got to see pigs, sheep, goats, cows, and horses. We also got to see the pardoned turkeys Chocolate and Chip.
There were tractors on display and educational booths. Best of all there was free ice cream at the end. They do this event every spring and it is the perfect event for young kids.
