In an early preview of the Raleigh First Night Festivities, the Astro Botanicals Garden of Light by artist Stan Clark opened this Saturday. The field at Moore Square was transformed into an amazing display of light and changing color that replicated a garden of classical ornamental flowers.
It was awesome to walk through the giant inflatable sculptures and see the details inside and out. The exhibit makes a return to Moore Square on New Year’s Eve as a part of First Night and will be open from 4-10 PM. It is definitely worth stopping by and is included in your First Night pass.
First Night is one of our favorite annual events there is a ton to do and it is the best way to see the City of Oaks famous acorn drop. With an early countdown at 7 PM, it is perfect for those of us that would rather be asleep when 2020 turns over on our calendar.
