Young Hearts Distillery just opened its doors in Downtown Raleigh. They are located in the old Trophy Tap and Table/Busy Bee location. Their concept is pursuing a passion for food and beverage and this is exactly what you will find when visiting. They are currently making gin and vodka. They are selling bottles on location so you can grab one to go or enjoy a wonderful drink at the bar.
What we had to drink:
I opted for the Pink Colada which has coconut, rum, pineapple, and dragon fruit.
Anthony opted for the Old Fashioned. It has bourbon, bitters, simple syrup, and an orange brûlée sugar disc.
What we had to eat:
Spicy Hoppin John Croquettes – Sea Island red peas, local smoked ham hock, Carolina Gold Rice, and spicy tomato gravy.
Local Charcuterie – House selections from Old North Meat & Provisions with pickled tomatoes and pickles.
What I love about their food and drinks are the quality ingredients they use. Everything was very thoughtful. I loved the spicy tomato gravy on the croquettes. It was out of this world and the meats on the charcuterie were so good. I am so glad that Young Heart’s Distillery is open. Make sure to stop, grab some food a drink, or even a bottle of gin to go!
