This is the perfect way to enjoy an afternoon if you love wine. This event is held at of Lowndes Grove Plantation. This space is right on the Ashley River and is surrounded by beautiful oak groves. The Main House showcases 1786-era architecture which is the perfect backdrop for this delightful evening.
The wine was flowing and the live-fire cooking was amazing. What we had to eat: Did someone say lamb ribs from Home Team BBQ? Ok so those of you that know Home Team know that they are connoisseurs of all things pork. Their concept? Take what you know about pig and apply it to lamb. It was the most surprising find and was so good!
I also got to try a grilled crawfish bologna sandwich from the good folks of Blue Smoke in New York. It was amazing. Yep, I said it. The bologna sammie was amazing. Maybe it was that comeback sauce though……..
Winederlust is always a wonderful way to spend the weekend. It is fancy meets casual and comfortable I love this annual event. The food is always great and it is a perfect way to watch the sun set in Charleston. Make sure to add this to your itinerary for next year if you are a lover of wine.
