We finally made it over to V Pizza in Cary. They are located on Kildaire Farm Road in the same shopping center as Trader Joe’s. Their concept is serving great food in a fun, friendly, and comfortable environment.
We were excited to try their wood-fired oven pizza and wings. We had the V Signature wings which are marinated with fresh lemon, extra virgin olive oil, rosemary, garlic, salt & pepper, topped with caramelized onions. The wings were amazing but the caramelized onions stole the show. They roast them in red wine for 5 hours and they are delicious.
We also shared the Pizza Mac-Attack. This pizza has mozzarella, V Pesto Mac-n-Cheese, pancetta, homemade cheese sauce, cheddar/gouda mix, and fresh basil. This pizza was so good. I think the cheddar/gouda mix made it so good.
In addition to great pizza, they have a great beer lineup. They have 48 taps and their selection included lots of great local beers. They even had Peroni for those Italian beer lovers. I enjoyed a Pink Lemonade Session Sour Ale from Hi-Wire. It was so good. Not super sour and perfectly refreshing.
They also recently announced that they will be opening in Brier Creek, which is really exciting. The concept sounds really cool, part bourbon bar, part pizza joint. They hope to be open this fall. We can’t wait to go back to V Pizza again soon. Their food is great and their beer selection was awesome.
