More.

We always make a point to try something new for Triangle Restaurant Week. This year we went to check out more in downtown Raleigh. The restaurant is located at 116 North West Street or for those of you who have been in Raleigh for a while, the old Blue Martini location. The restaurant is part of the JMR Kitchens group which owns Taste and Oak.

They describe themselves as small plates and wine bar joint. The space is cozy and we had wonderful service. What we had to eat:

  • Meatballs: pork & beef meatballs, spicy basil tomatoes, grilled bread
  • Brussels sprouts: fried with olive oil poached tomatoes, pancetta vinaigrette
  • Chicken: oven-roasted chicken, goat cheese grits, roasted pepper broth, caramelized garlic
  • Short Rib: slowly braised short rib, glazed carrots, pearl onions, rice, tomato broth

We really enjoyed the atmosphere and the great service. If you are looking for a great place to grab and drink and some food with friends in Raleigh make sure to check out more.
