Korean-style Corndogs have been gaining popularity and despite my limited knowledge of anything Korean (beyond the smash hit Gangnam Style) I was aware of this and very interested in trying this elevated version of the Texas original. All regrets to Big Tex but I think the improvements are considerable and really take this humble stick food to a new place.
We tried the Potato Half & Half from the Golden K Dog food truck the sausage/mozzarella wrapped in potato cubes was great. The breading/potatoes were sturdy and a little crisp but not overdone and the combination of cheese and meat were both fun to eat and delicious. We opted for spicy mayo and chili sauce for condiments (sorry mustard).
Highly recommend it – especially if you like the standard corndog. Think of it as a Gangnam-style remix.
