We decided to make this one of our first stops in L.A. and went to Koreatown in search of Beer Belly. We first heard of Beer Belly on the Food Network show Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives with host Guy Fieri.
The duck dishes and rotating craft beer selection keep the locals coming back to Beer Belly. The duck fat fries topped duck skin cracklins Guy called “duck-a-licious,” while the duck French dip was one of his favorite duck dishes ever. Guy also couldn’t get enough of the spicy chicken wings.
The unique restaurant was as plain on the inside as it is beautifully eclectic on the outside. The food was outstanding and the beer selection was one of the best we saw in L.A. If you get the chance this is a great detour for lunch or dinner. It is close enough to the airport to be a first or last stop on your trip to Disneyland through L.A. or worth it for a special trip. Get the Duck Fat Fries. You won’t regret it.
