A day at Historic Yates Mill County Park offers visitors an “Escape from the Daily Grind,” with experiences that interpret and preserve our agricultural heritage, environmental resources, and history through educational programs, events, and exhibits. The park is a 174-acre wildlife refuge and an environmental research center.
We went out to Yates Mill Park at sunset to capture some of the pink and blue sky that was almost on fire on the horizon. This was the second attempt at Facebook Live and I am not sure it worked as well this time as it did last. I recorded some videos that I may post if it turned out. These are pictures from about 250ft over the park straight up from the amphitheater. In a couple of pictures, you can see downtown Raleigh in the distance but if you didn’t know any better you would think we were in a more rural area than we were.
