I find it slightly ironic that I would learn about Steve Jobs death from my iPad. I imagine I am not in the minority of people who learned about this death on something he was ultimately responsible for creating.
The first computer I remember using was an Apple II – I think I was in about the third grade. From there I got my own Commodore 64 and the rest you might say is history.
Steve Jobs created a computer dynasty. His innovation drove the market forward and made other products better as a result. I am amazed that the “grandfather” of so many technologies was only 56.
I know there will be a ton of tributes in the coming days and there is nothing that can be said here that won’t be said everywhere. But on behalf of the world we all live in – thanks Mr. Jobs for creating a lot of the good parts.
