lego0BobG sent me this link and I think it is one of the cooler things I’ve seen in a while. Look at the pictures – read the text – put it together in your head and you’ll realize – this is an awesome idea. Of course when does one use the word augmented and not have something awesome to show for it?

Basically you hold up the set you wish to see in front of the camera and the machine shows you on the box what the completed set would look like in 3-D. It probably wouldn’t encourage you or deter you from buying anything but it would be cool to pick up every box in the store to see what the completed set would look like. Expect many photos if this ever comes to a store near me.
