This is the most emotionally draining exhibit at the EMP Museum and maybe my favorite. It speaks to the short run of a band and the musical landscape it changed around the world. It was a reminder of when the musical torch passed from the 80s to the 90s when the black t-shirt became a flannel shirt and the music reflected an overall sentiment of ambivalence. Nirvana lasted from just before my senior year of High School and ended in my Sophomore year of College and this exhibit filled in some of the pieces I either missed or forgot about the time. This is how I would like to remember Nirvana. Pics from both Cara and myself as we quietly walked through the exhibit.
