And just like that, the new Publix in Raleigh is open. It is located at 417 West Peace Street and is a nice addition to downtown. They opened on September 2. Guests who visited got a free reusable bag. A few things to note. The parking was easy. There is a parking deck under the store. And the parking was free which is good in a downtown area.
They have got a pretty solid selection. It is a full-size store. I was able to get al the items I needed on my shopping list. I loved to see all the North Carolina products that were available.
They even had my favorite Roots hummus (get all the details on Roots here). They had a well-stocked beer fridge with favs like NoDa out of Charlotte and New Belgium. Their deli looked great. You can order sandwiches online and swing by to pick them up. Super nice for the lunch crowd. They also had a salad bar and grab and go options that looked good for days you did not want to cook.
And did someone say dessert? Their bakery looks amazing. They had lots of great goodies available and you can even custom order your cakes. I am really glad to have Publix in downtown Raleigh. It is a great addition.
