St. Augustine, FL

No – we didn’t go on another trip. These are pictures from the recent trip to Kennedy Space Center – or an extended stop for lunch on the way home. Either way – they got lost in the shuffle and are just now making their way here.

Founded in 1565 by Spanish explorer and admiral Pedro Menéndez de Avilés, it is the oldest continuously occupied European-established city and port in the continental United States.

Several of the images after the jump are from Flagler College. Founded in 1968 but housed in buildings dating back to the 1880s this is a very fascinating place and one it would be great to spend more time walking around and checking out the school.  The big draw to St. Augustine, FL is the mythical Fountain of Youth once sought by Spanish explorer Ponce de Leon.

So better late than never – a quick look at St. Augustine.
