The Merchant NC recently opened its doors in downtown Raleigh. They are located at 126 S Salisbury St. They call themselves a speakeasy and their mission is that they want to Live, Breathe, and Cover themselves in Beautiful Hospitality.
The space is beautiful! And they make a great drink. I enjoyed the Fear & Loathing in the Carolinas which is mezcal, tequila, blackberry, lime, and cilantro serrano oil. This drink was perfect! They also have a nice beer list with lots of local options including Hi-Wire, Town Brewing Co, and Southern Range.
