We stopped by La Farm today for the 5th Annual Bread Bakers Guild of America Open House. We were able to view bread shaping demonstrations, try scoring the dough and watch them load bread into and out of the oven. Guests were also able to try out the different bread.
The event was held at their new location at 220 West Chatham Street. The space opened on June 15, 2017. La Farm originally opened in Cary in 1999. Their new space has equipment that will allow them to further support the growth of the local grain industry in North Carolina. This space also allows people to view the bakers as they work. Guests can see them shape and roll bread by hand.
They are open Monday through Saturday from 7am to 5pm and The La Farm Bread Truck will also be on-site Monday through Saturday from 10:30am to 2:30pm offering its regular breakfast and lunch.
