Tupelo Honey Cafe opened in 2000 in downtown Asheville. Since then they have grown to 12 stores. We are so happy to have a Tupelo Honey Cafe in Raleigh and I was looking forward to hearing from Chef Brian Sonoskus, the creative genius behind the deliciousness.
Brian has two books out. The first book focused on the restaurant whereas the second book focused on the food of the Appalachian mountains. Did someone say trout and rabbits? While we didn’t get to try those dishes (you will have to buy the cookbook and try it out on your own), we did get to try his cornucopia salad. This was the perfect light, refreshing salad, but don’t take my word for it, try out the recipe.
