Is anything better than a tomato sandwich in the summer? The answer here is NO. For ours we started with German Johnson Heirloom tomatoes grown locally added Prodigal Farm Green Peppercorn Goat Cheese on La Farm Bakery Sourdough Bread with a little Duke’s Light Mayonnaise, balsamic vinegar and salt & pepper.
Was it the ‘best’ tomato sandwich ever? Maybe. At the very least it is worth trying. Most the ingredients are easy to find at the State Farmer’s Market right here in Raleigh.
